The Company
Rachel’s
was Britain’s first certified organic dairy and was established in
1985. Since then, an amazing level of consumer loyalty has been
developed through the single brand of Rachel’s Organic Yoghurt.
Branded Organic milk has been added to the range and recently
Rachel’s Organic Welsh Butter was launched.
Distinctively
packaged and channelled direct through major multiples and via
specialist wholesalers to independent retailers, we are now poised to
expand further through the existing product range and NPD within the
dairy industry and beyond. A £22 million business, which we are
determined to more than double within three years. Supporting this
growth objective is our US parent company, the dominant player in
organic food products in the United States.
To achieve
our aims, we now need the right person to drive this expansion and
will appoint a Marketing Director who, after a period of success in
this role, will then be a natural candidate for the UK Managing
Director role.
The
Person
You will be
of Graduate calibre and be highly experienced at a senior level of
marketing branded food products. With a significant period of brand
management experience in high growth situations and specifically, NPD,
including research, design, strong consumer and customer
communications and marketing programmes. A Demonstrable record of
successfully establishing new products is, therefore, essential. You
will also have spent time in sales management and specifically account
management roles. You will have established yourself as a natural
leader and with your excellent people management skills, you will
achieve your aims through building relationships within internal
departments, major clients organisations and JV partners. Your dept of
experience will mean that you are now ready for this exceptional
opportunity.
The
Role
Will need an
adaptable person who will possess the management skills to work in a
culture, which has its roots firmly in organic agriculture and someone
who recognises and has an empathy with the principals of organic
product marketing.
The brand
name and product quality are synonymous with the ethos of organics,
which will ease the path for NPD in a variety of areas. All will be
achieved through building personal relationships with everyone in the
company (115 employees)
and taking them with you on the journey to developing more products
with obvious effect on turnover and, essentially, improving
profitability without losing sight of the distinct marketing advantage
which already exists with the brand.
If
you believe this to be your next career move and would like more
information, than please phone Derek Smart, the retained recruitment
consultant or simply mail your CV to us, quoting “Rachel’s” as
your reference
